Jamshedpur, Nov. 9: Jamshedpur FC players sweated it out at the Tata Football Academy (TFA) ground after almost five days on Friday. Captain Tiri along with all the foreign and Indian players along with local favourite Gourav Mukhi was part of the training session on Friday morning under the watchful eyes of head coach Cesar Ferrando.
The team returned to Jamshedpur on November 8 after Dipawali break. With FC Pune City in mind, the team trained hard and is taking full opportunity of the long break they got before the crucial game against Pune on November 21 at its opponent’s home ground.
Tata Steel franchisee is currently placed third in the Indian Super League (ISL) points table with two wins and five draws. The team is still unbeaten in the tournament and would like to convert the draws into wins if they want to qualify for the playoffs.
It is worth mentioning that after playing a draw against Delhi Dynamos on November 4, most of the Jamshedpur FC players, support staff and coaches had gone for a break. Due to the festive season in the country, all the Indian players went to their homes to spend Dipawali with their loved ones. Meanwhile, Spanish players and team staff landed in Srilanka.
Midfielder Sergio Cidoncha , Mario Arques, Pablo Morgado along with the support staff enjoyed surfing while Carlos Calvo also spent quality time with his girlfriend in the island nation.
On the other hand, JFC head coach Cesar Ferrando visited Taj Mahal in Agra along with his wife and child. JFC Star Tim Cahill is also off to Los Angeles to meet his family and will join the team a couple of days later. Jamshedpur FC will play the next game against FC Pune City in Pune on November 21.
The next home game of JFC is on November 25 against Chennaiyin FC and like previous outings the crowd presence is again expected to be massive with online tickets being sold at a rapid pace.
