Jamshedpur, Dec 20: Hill Top School organized 33rd Annual Athletic Meet at Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium on Wednesday, Dec 18. Chief Guest for the occasion was Chairman of Hill Top School, O V Ajay. The theme for the occasion was Strong & Upright, We Move Forward.

The event kicked off with the school prayer after which the meet was declared open. March past contingent was led by plus two students followed by the houses Akbar, Tagore, Nehru, Ashoka.

The march past contingent of Hill Top School who were the winners of the Inter School march past during the Independence Day & Republic Day celebrations 2013 at Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium were felicitated on the occasion. Participants in Nationals felicitated for their performance included Siddharth Shankar Banra for National Athletics, Nikhil Gupta for National Swimming, Ankit Mahato for National Basketball, Gaurav Biswas for National Basketball and Pinaki samal for National Basketball.

Followed was a drill display by students of Classes I to IV. Nursery Events included Trekking, Tribute to Sachin (Bat, Ball, World Cup), Following the Traffic Rules and Clowns on a Joyride.

Classes V, VI & VII also displayed drill based on spirit of Goa. LKG Events included Blooming Flowers, Getting Ready for Dinner, Slimmers’ Race and Humpty Dumpty while UKG Events were Magicians Race, Cindrella’s Shoe, Make a Bouquet and Race for Props. Track events for boys and girls were also held. Several events were also held for the support staff and faculty.

Lakhi Charan Mahato and Rishav Kashyap of Nehru House, Aditya Raj Choudhary of Tagore House and Deepak Kumar of Akbar House won the championships shield in the boys category. In the girls class Pallvi Gummalla of Nehru House, Shazmin Farah, Aditi and Jhanvi of Ashoka House bagged the shield.

The most discipline was the Tagore House, In the March Past event Akbar House was crowned winner while Nehru House walked away with the Best House trophy. The Event ended with the school song.
