Gamharia: A workshop was organized for district police officials at Recreation Club in Tayo colony, Gamharia on Wednesday.

The superintendent of police Madan Mohan Lal was present as the main speaker on the occasion. During the workshop, the participants were informed about opium cultivation and ways to destroy such crops as it is illegal to cultivate opium.

Speaking during the workshop, Manish Modi, intelligence officer of Central Narcotics Bureau, Ranchi, gave tips to the participants on how to investigate after destroying opium cultivation, how to seize samples and how to complete legal formalities and how to lodge FIR in such cases.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the participating police officers were given certificate.

Among those present during the workshop included Naresh Kumar, SDPO of Sarikela, Arvindan Singh police inspector, Dr. DK Bhusha, Ajay Kumar, officer in Charge of Adityapur Police Station, Prakash Kumar, officer in charge Kandra Police Station, Ram Narayan Chowdhary and officer in charge of Ghamria Police Station.
