Gamharia: Suspected Maoists pasted posters and banners on the railway overbridge situated on the Chowka-Kandra route yesterday.
Sources said the Maoists have threatened to backlash on issues related to Chhota Nagpur Tenancy Act and Santhal Paragana Tenancy Act and sought support for their activities from the local residents.
The SP of Seraikela-Kharsawan Indrajeet Mahatha said he had got information about Maoists having pasted posters at few places in Chowka, but he was not aware of such development in Kandra.
He said cops were running campaign against the Maoists in sensitive areas.
