Seraikela: Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration has achieved a target of 63.38 per cent in creating employment under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. Out of the 1,23,306 workers, 87 per cent are getting wages on the basis of Aadhar. This was informed on Friday by the Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan Chhavi Ranjan.
Giving details of milestones achieved by the district administration, the DC said a total of 205 beneficiaries were given approval under the National Social Assistance Programme for disbursement of pensions. In health, the administration got 229 cataract patients undergo surgery free of cost. Many initiatives were taken in the field of fishery, animal husbandry, horticulture, employment and other areas, said the DC.
