Seraikela, Oct 6: Chhau artist of Seraikela Bankim Singh today breathed his last at his home in the district.
Director of State Chhau Dance Arts Center Tapan Patnayak along with artists Kailash Pratap Singhdeo and Manoranjan Sahu reached his house.
According to reports they tried to take him to the hospital but his wife and neighbours decided against it.
It is also being said that due to financial problem his health deteriorated and at last he died.
It may also be noted that Cultural Department of HRD Ministry has till date not provided him with financial benefits whereas the 90 year old Singh had been selected last year.
