Seraikela, Oct 17: Authorities in India’s Jharkhand state are intensifying efforts to provide relief to some thousands people affected by a cyclone and subsequent floods.
Cyclone Phailin, the strongest storm to hit the state, flattened homes uprooted trees and blocked roads in the state.
With the crossing of the cyclone Seraikela district has also been severely affected leaving people with no homes, no food and warning of diseases being spread.
The Bridge over Sanjay River at Govindpur in Serikela-Kharsawan District is in a shabby condition and could fall apart anytime that is only hope for the commuters who travel to other side of the river.
The authority is said to absent and people are threatened to suffer.
