Seraikela, Feb 25: All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) today launched its ‘Halla Bol’ agitation demanding ‘special status to Jharkhand. Party activists led by senior leaders today launched ‘Halla Bol’ agitation.
Party activists held a demonstration outside the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Seraikela. Their demands include ‘special status to Jharkhand, in addition to the benefits due to the people under various government sponsored programmes such as Food Security, Right to Education and Rights for the Panchayati Raj institutions. The AJSU cadres also staged demonstration at other district and block headquarters across Jharkhand.
Following the programme of the AJSU, other opposition parties such as the BJP and the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha have also raised the demand of ‘special status’ to Jharkhand. MLA announced to make Jharkhand bandh on March 2 successful.
