Ichagrah, Feb 1: Members of Rural forest defense committee today held on to 600 branches of small trees from women at Kholadungra Village in Borabinda Village under Ghodnegi Panchayat, Chandil near Rehabilitation centre on Saturday, Feb 1.
Women with the branches left it in the middle of the forest when they saw the members of the committee coming. The members included Forester of Patkum Prakash Chandra and Forester of Ramgarh Santosh Kumar.
On the occasion Forester Prakash Chandra said that if any person is found cutting trees branches in the forest they will be let off for the first time but if the incident is repeated then stern action will be taken against them.
On the occasion President of Committee Lakhiram Hembram, Secretary Rajaram Murmu, Ravan Hansda, Haradharan Murmu, Gunaram Kisku, Yogendra Kisku along with other members of the committee were present.
