Ranchi: By introducing improvement in the government processes excellence in governance can be achieved. The administration in the state should be clear and transparent. Chief Secretary R S Sharma said this today at a review meeting of the Personnel Department at Project Building.
The Chief Secretary said the combined entrance examination of SSC and JPSC should be optimized and the recruitment process should be done with a ten year plan in mind. He suggested that instead of conducting multiple examinations for different departments there should be a common examination defining the broad categories of service rules.
The Chief Secretary asked to devise a reminder system to the people six months before retirement asking them to fill the pension form. This would enable people to draw pension from the day one of retirement, said and added that the rules for withdrawal of GPF should be simplified.
The Chief Secretary said that the system for availing causal leave by the employees should be simplified and an online process should be introduced for filing of casual leave applications, he said. The health reimbursement issues should also be simplified, he added.
The Chief Secretary said that the portable device for biometric authentication attendance system offers advanced verification of employees in different cadres.
The Principal Secretary, Personnel Development, SK Sathpathy, the additional secretary, Personnel Department Saroj Shrivastava, the Joint Secretary, Personnel Department, Suman Kumar, the Deputy Secretary, Personnel Department Yatindra Prasad, the Deputy Secretary, Personnel Department, Pramod Kumar Tiwari along with other officials were also present during the meeting.
