Ranchi: The state government has formulated a plan of worth Rs 3500 crore to provide self employment opportunities to the rural youths of the state.
More than 10 lakh youths will be linked to self employment. The plan has been chalked out by the Industry department of the state government, Jharkhand State Livelihood Mission, welfare department, Integrated Action Plan, rural development, agriculture and forest department.
The director of Jharcraft Dhirendra Kumar said the Chief Secretary RS Sharma had issued directives for the formation of a draft vision document of sericulture.
The proposal will be sent to the state Cabinet for final approval. The project money will be spent on sericulture through various departments of the state government. The Chief Secretary will be the president of the committee.
