Ranchi: The residential premises of HEC may be handed over to the Ranchi Municipal Corporation so that the residents could be provided better civic amenities.
This was stated by the MP of Ranchi and former Union minister Subodh Kant Sahay on Monday after a meeting with the HEC management.
The meeting was convened at the HEC guesthouse to review the progress of work following a tripartite talk held with the Heavy Industries Minister in New Delhi on 5th June last.
Sahay said a timebound deadline had been given for the disposal of the issue after the meeting with the Heavy Industries Minister. He said there are three main points of discussion to resolve the issue. He said as per agreement, the company management is thinking about transferring the residential premises to the Ranchi Municipal Corporation so that better amenities could be given to the residents.
Sahay said the talks are still on the with the company management. He said the company was not in a good financial shape. The poor financial status of the company is hampering efforts to provide better facilities to the workers, he said.
The chairman-cum-managing director (CMD) of the company R Mishra said indusrial peace was a must for better industrial output. He said talks were on with the MP for an amicable solution to all problems.
