Ranchi: The Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz is back to engage young corporate minds in India with its edge-of-the-seat quizzing and stimulating formats.
Travelling across 25 cities in India this year, the quiz concluded its Ranchi regional round today that witnessed participation from 15 teams, battling it out for their place in the Zone 2 finals that will be held in Kolkata in October 2015.
S. S. Panda and Sampad Mishra from RSP, Sail emerged victorious after defeating some of the smartest teams from the city. Giving the winners tough competition were Amarengdra Nandy and Soumya from IIM Ranchi who were declared as the runners-up of the quiz.
Mr Anurag Gupta, Additional Director General of police, special branch department awarded the prize money of Rs.75,000/- * to the winning team and Rs.35,000/-* to the runners-up.
The winners of the national final will receive a grand prize of Rs.500,000/-* along with the coveted Tata Crucible Trophy. As a special prize this year, the national winners will also receive a brand new Tata Bolt from Tata Motors.
Besides the winners and runners-up, the other four teams that qualified in the top 6 included S W Kispotta and Anand Raj from Bokaro Steel Plant, Srimant Mallick and Daisy Hembrom from Sail, MIT, Fazal Mahmood and Rishi Kant Gupta from Bokaro Steel Ltd, Sourav Ranu and Pankaj Kumar from Yugantar Bharti. The quiz was hosted by ace quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam a.k.a. Pickbrain.
