Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has deputed retired IAS officer Sheila Rapaj Kisku, to conduct departmental inquiries against two engineers.
Kisku will conduct inquiries into the irregularities committed by the then Chatra Assistant Engineer of Rural Works Department Brahmanand Pandey in the construction of Karma to Mahuli road. The charge against the retired engineer is that he caused loss of government funds to the tune of Rs21.31 lakhs by clearing bogus bitumen invoice.
Kisku has also been asked to conduct departmental inquiry against the then executive engineer of Building Construction department posted at Chaibasa Sonelal Das. Das has been charged with excess expenditure of Rs 65, 00,000.
Chief Minister Soren has punished Anil Kumar Singh Executive Engineer Road Construction Department Jamshedpur with “adverse entry” for his negligence in supervising the construction of Chakulia- Matihana road. The construction of the road, because of this negligence, was not according to establish standards. His replies to the explanations were not found satisfactory.
Chief Minister has asked the Principal Secretary Road Construction Department Rajbala Verma to conduct departmental actions against Ramod Narayan Jha and Narendra Kumar Mishra –both the then Managing Directors of the Central Cooperative Bank, Dhanbad- for charges leveled against them. Both of them have charged with loss of crores of money of the bank and embezzlement by distributing loan to bogus members of bogus cooperative societies.
Chief Minister invoking the Jharkhand Service Code has ordered for suspension of Ashok Kumar, Assistant Engineer, Saraikela Building division following his arrest in connection with the case filed at Navagrah police station in Bihar under Section 420 IPC( Cheating) and under Section 120( Conspiracy) of The Indian Penal Code, 1860. Kumar following his arrest has taken to Bihar.
