Ranchi: Rashtriya Janata Dal president Laloo Prasad Yadav today appealed to electorates to caste their valuables votes in favour of secular forces at Bhavnathpur in Palamu. He was addressing a public meeting of the party in support of RJD candidate Manoj Bhuiyan. A public meeting was also held in Majhgaon.

The former Bihar Chief Minister said he had once stopped the Rath Yatra of BJP veteran Lal Krishna Advani and now was going to stop the wave of Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP’s Prime-ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. He said the VP Singh government had provided reservation to the backward communities at the initiative taken by him.

“If we want to save the country, we must vote in the United Progressive Alliance led government at the CFentre. The people of Palamu have always supported secular forces. I hope that they vote for RJD and other UPA candidates,” said Laloo.

The state RJD president Girinath Singh, minister Annapurna Devi, Manoj Bhuiyan and the sitting MP of Chatra Janardan Paswan were also present on the occasion.

In the other public meeting held at Karamdih High School ground in Majhgaon, Laloo said he had become a leader of the masses by herding cattle and not by driving any ‘chariot’. He also claimed that it was he who made the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar a leader.

He said both the BJP and Nitish Kumar were not trustworthy anymore. Further, Laloo accused former Jharkhand CM and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president Babulal Marandi of causing a rift between people in Jharkhand in the name of domicile issue.

The democracy is not suitable for India where majority of population is illiterate. They are not aware of their right to vote. This is major reason for corrupt & worst governance all over country which is spreading hatreds among people & leaders like Laloo & others are giving certificate of secularism to others. The regional parties & their leaders are heading this country towards anarchy & uncertainty. What damage Laloo has done to Bihar during his 15 years jungle raj is unimaginable ? The regional parties ruling states like UP, Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa, Punjab etc have ruined these states & there were virtually no tangible progress in these states since all regional parties are formed to serve interest of individual leader who are recklessly looting these states for self development. This naked fact are overlooked by people of state which is cause of backwardness & acute poverty. The mushrooming of smaller parties are very dangerous for prosperity & peace of country as leader like Laloo, Maulyam, Mayawati, Mamta, Jaylalithaa, etc are flourishing which must be stopped by eliminating these parties from country otherwise this country cannot move forward & communal card will be played by regional leaders to achieve their motive to loot public money by hook & crook.
