Ranchi: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha has demanded a judicial probe into the transfer and posting of several officials of various departments by the state government.
The party president Babulal Marandi led a delegation of party members to the Raj Bhavan and handed over a memorandum to the governor Dr Syed Ahmed demanding a judicial probe into the transfers and postings.
He alleged that the bureaucrats were being transferred and posted by corrupt ministers and legislators. He said the governor should take an initiative to stop such illegal practice.
“Ever since Hemant Soren has taken over as Chief Minister of the state, transfer and posting of government officers has become a corrupt practice. Many officials are posted and transferred irrespective of their seniority. This is a sorry state of affairs since it will further promote corruption in the state,” Marandi said.
The JVM leaders said the officers posted at the time of President’s Rule were also transferred with impunity.
They said the head of department of Biochemistry in Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences Professor KP Sinha was given charge as the director in RINPAS.
They said any psychologist should have been given priority.
Similar malpractice has been committed in the transfer and posting of 57 officers of the commercial tax department, Marandi said.
