Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today declared with gay abandon his indifference over the current status of the state government led by him in alliance with the Congress. He said he was least bothered about the fate of his government come what may.
While admitting that his government was facing trying times, Soren said he personally felt no such ‘emergency’. Speaking to scribes on the issue of state government facing a crisis situation, he said, “I have no idea how much tough time my government faces at the moment, but I know I personally do not face any problem. We have no fear of government’s collapse. We have faced many ups and down earlier and succeeded in tiding over every difficulty.”
Soren said all political parties were eyeing Dumka seat as JMM president and former CM Sibu Soren was contesting the Parliamentary election from there. “Efforts will be made to misguide the voters of JMM. The party workers as well as voters need to be alert and cautious. They should not give in to any such threat or attempt. JMM’s votebank has increased as has the support of the people for the party over the last several years. We are sure to register a landslide victory in the election,” he said.
Soren said JMM was fielding candidates in other states as well in order to get the status of a national party in the coming days. He said the JMM activists had the responsibility of ensuring unprecedented victory of the party in Dumka and other constituencies of Jharkhand and other states. He said the party was contesting the Lok Sabha elections under the alliance agreement with the Congress.
The CM stressed on team work for ensuring victory of alliance partners of the state government. He said the state government had done a lot for the poor by implementing old age pension scheme, dhoti sari distribution scheme and many other schemes.
Soren addressed a convocation of party activists of Dumka block. Activists of 113 booth committees of JMM participated in the convocation.
