Dhanbad, Feb. 22: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that flyovers will be made to strengthen and improve the transport system in Dhanbad. Traffic woes of the people would also come to an end with the construction of flyovers, he said.
The CM further said that the district mining funds will be spent in those districts, where excavation work is done. “Work is being done in every district in the field of water supply and sanitation. With several new plans, we are moving forward towards a new and developed Dhanbad,” he said while addressing people after inauguration of Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, Dhanbad and Dhanbad Water Supply Scheme (Sindri Package) at New Town Hall, Dhanbad.
On this occasion, the CM laid the foundation stone of the new secretariat building worth Rs 33.97 crore, EVM warehouse worth Rs 4.85 crore, Rs 10.46 crore for press club and Rs 3.67 crore for the new building of block cum zonal office.
Besides this, the CM also inaugurated the Dhanbad Water Supply Scheme under JNURM. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes that public utility services for the public should be directly available to the people in their houses. The government is ready to extend every facility to the people at their doorsteps. Electricity will be provided to all households. The villages will be strengthened through connectivity with the cities,” he said.
The CM maintained that for connecting rural women with economic empowerment, they will soon be provided with loans under Mudra scheme for manufacturing sanitary napkins which will be sent to health department offices and schools.
Das said that a foreign office is going to be constructed in Ranchi, for which a placement committee is to be formed. “The committee will help people who go out of the country for employment will be registered. If anybody has a problem, the committee will offer help and resolve the same,” he said.
Importantly, Dhanbad Post Office Passport Seva Kendra is 66th in the country and 4th in the state.
Also present on the occasion, Dhanbad MP PN Singh said the funding of various schemes is being ensured for the benefit of the public. Development work is going on fast in Dhanbad. People’s expectations are being fulfilled, he said.
Many dignitaries were present on the occasion, they included MP Giridih, MP West Singhbhum, Mayor Dhanbad, MLA Sindri, MLA Baghmara, Chairman District Council and Chairman Cirkunda Municipal Board.
