Ranchi: The heartland of India always holds a special place in the hearts of cricket fans all across India. It is the home of Team India’s most successful captainM S Dhoni,having had the most illustrious career, glittered with every major trophy in his cabinet. His 15 year career has inspired an entire generation of cricket fanatics which propelled their love for the sport.

Cricket Legend Zaheer Khan along with Bollywood star Suniel Shetty launched the amateur cricket league Ferit Cricket Bash, last month. The league blends cricket enthusiasts of all generations eager to express their cricket ability and providing them with a platform to do, with anyone above the age of 15 can participate.

Ferit Cricket Bash wants to provide such amateur cricketers the experience of a lifetime via its multi city cricket tournament. The players will be receiving the esteemed mentorship of cricket’s finest in Chris Gayle, Muttiah Muralitharan and Praveen Kumar.

Zaheer Khan, Cricket legend and co-founder of FCB said, “I started my journey with humble beginnings amongst hundreds of other cricket enthusiasts, and most of us had nothing, but our love for the game that kept us going. The opportunities I received while participating in local tournaments back home enabled me to represent my country.”

Suniel Shetty, co-founder of Ferit Cricket Bash said, “As a sports enthusiast, I am most excited to launch FCB in partnership with Zaheer. It is amazing to see cricket being worshipped in India, including Jharkhand. Our attempt with FCB is thus to bring young and old ‘bade ziddi’s’ of Jharkhand, the heartland of India together on a national scale, let the cricketing fervor take over, and give these passionate aspirants, the chance to know what it feels like to live the game.”
