Ranchi, Feb 9:Education means development of personality with social values rather than producing an educated machine. Today the society is breaking down, families are in small units and the children were affected most because of this. There is a feeling of insecurity among them leading to frustration. The need of the hour is to develop self-confidence among them.

The main role of education was all round growth of the child. The Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that while addressing the silver Jubilee function of the local DPS.

He said that the situation is changing fast and everyone was running short of time but it has to be seen that there was no lack of interaction with children.

There should be constant interface between children and guardians, students and teachers and as well as teachers and guardians.

Today many incidents are taking place, which indicates that teachers and guardians were not aware of the real situation. The children, unable to cope
with the situation were taking false steps. Everyone has to ponder over this.

He said that society state and country will progress when the educated new generation develops in the right direction. Education has to be within reach of everyone. The effort of the government was provide Right to Education to all the children.

The Chief Minister said that the level of education in both private and public school should be same. In an effort to reduce the disparity in Bokaro
Kasturba School Smart Class has been initiated by which more two thousand girl students belonging to BPL families will be educated on-line.

Congratulating the school, the Chief Minister described it as “pride of Jharkhand” and said that many former students of the school have achieved great heights and the caravan should roll on.

He wished that the school would celebrate its Golden Jubilee in style. A souvenir of the school was released and the Chief Minister was presented a
motif, shawl and a plant by the school management.

DPS Chairperson Dr Sharda Nayak, School Principal J Mohanty, I G Modernisation Anurag Gupta and others were present on the occasion.
