Ranchi: Chief Secretary Shri R S Sharma today laid stress on good public display of achievements of different departments in the floats (jhaki) during the Republic Day Celebrations 2014.
He was speaking at meeting regarding preparation of Republic Day Celebrations held today at Project Building with Cabinet Department officers. Mr Sharma wanted the officials to be watchful on the safety, parking, drinking water, sanitation and other arrangements of the programme.
Chief Secretary focused on providing visibility to Prabhat Feri and publicizing it. The student who participates in the Prabhat Feri should be a part of the programme and a place should be reserved for them in the venue, he said. He said that refreshment and logistics support should be ensured for the students.
Cabinet Co-ordination Principal Secretary Shri J.B. Tubid presented the agenda at the meeting. He said that objectionable screening should be prohibited in jhaki. He also said that a separate place for media-persons would be allotted in the venue for enabling a good coverage of the event.
Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Secretary, Smt. Vandana Dadel said that on the eve of the Republic Day a cultural programme will be organized at Aryabhatt Auditorium.
The Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of all the Departments along with other officials were present at the meeting.
