Ranchi No Comments on Congress unhappy with JMM over government performance 22

Ranchi: The Congress party has expressed its displeasure over the performance of the state government led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.

Awaiting good results from the state government formed with the help of its allies, the Congress has demanded prompt measures on part of the government to improve the image of the party on issues related to development and welfare.

On the other hand, the JMM leaders too, have asked the alliance partners to place their objections and suggestions on a proper platform instead of airing differences with allies publicly. They have asked the Congress to come through proper channel.

Even as the differences between Congress and JMM continue to plague the state government at a crucial time when elections are round the corner, the government is yet to give out positive signals to the people. The state government is about to complete four months of its existence.

This has led the Congress leaders to openly voice their dissatisfaction over the way of functioning of the state government keeping in mind the election prospects of the party. Earlier the Union rural development minister Jairam Ramesh had expressed his unhappiness over the functioning and performance of the state government.

The airing of differences by the Congress just before the foundation day anniversary on 15th November, the JMM faction of the government is in a state of tizzy. The core committee member of the party Vinod Pandey and general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya have however sought to defend the party and the government led by Hemant Soren on development and performance issue.

It is not only the Congress that has expressed dissatisfaction over the functioning of the state government. The state president of Rashtriya Janata Dal Girinath Singh has also assailed the government and expressed his displeasure publicly.
