Ranchi : Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren today announced that all sportspersons of the who make a mark at the national and international level would be directly given job.
He made the announcement while speaking at the closing ceremony of the 62nd All India Police Wrestling Cluster Championship at the Khelgaon in Hotwar.
He said that the decision to this effect has already been taken and would be implemented soon. This will raise the standard of sports in the state and the sportsperson would be feel encouraged to preform better in the national and international competitions.
He said that a talent hunt campaign would be launched in the rural areas. Selections would be made by holding sport tournaments and they would be given training so that they performed well in the competitions at the national and international level.
He said that sports brings the country together and this police meet was one such link. It is matter of pride for Jharkhand that sportspersons from all over the country have gathered here.
Even since Khelgaaon has been established in the state national and international tournaments has been organised. Government would provide all help to all future sports meets, he said.
Congratulating the participants, the Chief Minister hoped they would be performing better in the future competitions. He specially congratulated Rustam of Chhatisgarh for breaking records in weightlifting. He also applauded Olympian Yogeshwar Dutt for winning gold medal.
At the function Assembly Speaker Shashank Shekhar Bhogta, Ministers Shri Haji Hussain Ansari, Shri Chandra Shekhar Dubey, Smt. Gitashree Oraon, Chief Secretary Shri R S Sharma, Intelligence Bureau Special Director Shri Surendra Singh, Major General Shri Sanjeev Verma, DGP Shri Rajiv Kumar and senior police and Home department officials were also present.
