Ram Krishna Vivekananda University to be opened in Jharkhand
Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das unveiled a rainwater harvesting model at Ram Krishna Mission Ashram at Morhabadi on the occasion of World Soil Day on Tuesday. Addressing the event, he said, “Together we will create a new India and new Jharkhand where no one will be homeless, unemployed or left without medication.
We try to uplift families under BPL before 2022 for which help from institution like Ram Krishna Mission is necessary. We all should follow path of Swami Vivekanand and create India of his dream. To bring smile on the faces of poor should be our ultimate goal.”
The CM said the people should not solely depend on bureaucracy for development. “We have seen the consequences of such dependence in the past 67 years. Mission to double the income of farmers under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started and farmers are given instruction about better agriculture. Our joint effort can end poverty in a state full of natural resources,” he said.
Das admired Vivekananda Seva Sangh being made and operated in 120 villages of Ranchi, Ramgarh and Khunti by Ram Krishana Mission and said they will bear the responsibility successfully. “A financial assistance of Rs 8000 per month will be given to them. One club is being constituted for two aanganbaris.
They will work towards changing the perception of villagers. There should be meeting in every week to create village development plan for 3 years. Villages should be encouraged for intoxication free environment. Open defecation must end. A list should be made about houses which do not have lavatory. Government will give them assistant for construction. Similarly ensure all children attend school.
Dropout girls aging between 14 and 24 should be asked about their interest. Those who are deprived of studies due to poverty, government will help in their education. Those who want to work will be trained under skill development for employment. Families under BPL will be trained and job will be provided to them so that they can come out of BPL category. They will be given training of beekeeping, poultry, dairy and garment manufacturing. Villagers will inform the govt. about construction of dobha, well, pond and check dam and the government will directly pay them required money,” he said.
The CM further added, “The Indian culture is very old. Swami Vivekananda went to Chicago and made people aware about our culture and spiritualism. We should be proud of our culture. We should be careful about protecting our own culture against any cultural invasion. We should follow ideals of Swami Vivekananda and contribute in the development of Jharkhand. He inspired Jamshetji Tata to establish steel plant in India when Jamshedji wanted to establish steel plant in abroad. Country’s first industrialist plant was established in our state.”
