Ranchi : Former Jharkhand CM and leader of Opposition Hemant Soren staged a demonstration outside the Jharkhand Assembly along with Opposition MLAs to protest against Jharkhand Government’s Domicile Policy, Conversion Bill and CNT and SPT Act on the first day of ongoing Winter Session in Ranchi on Wednesday.
The Opposition leaders demanded that the state government should revoke its past decisions on the domicile policy, conversion Bill and land laws in the larger interest of the people of the state. They alleged that the state government was trying to impose its decisions on vital issues on the people of the state. He said the interests of the tribal people had been put at stake by the BJP-led state government.
Meanwhile, ruling BJP MLAs staged a protest against Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and other Opposition MLAs for disrupting the house. They said the Opposition should not disrupt the proceedings of the house and should instead play a constructive role throughout the winter session.
