Ranchi, August 11: Jharkhand’s Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi today said that 782 specialists doctors would be soon appointed in the state and efforts are on to appoint another 418 MBBS Doctors.
In a reply to the question raised by BJP MLA Manish Jaiswal during the question hour on the fourth day of the Monsoon Session of the Jharkhand Assembly, Chandravanshi said the retirement age for doctors in the state was 65 years and even after that they can be considered for appointment on contractual basis.
He said the JPSC has been sent a proposal regarding appointed of dentist under the special doctors category. Chandravanshi said once the doctors are recruited they would be posted as per the need.
Over another query of JVM(P) MLA Pradeep Yadav, the minister accepted that there was a total of 994 posts of specialists doctors sanctioned in the state.
He said for the time being as per the recommendation of the JPSC, 147 specialists doctors have been recruited and also admitted to the fact the there was no bone specialist doctor in Dumka.
Over another query by BJP MLA Anant Ojha, State’s Parliamentary Affairs Minister Saryu Rai said that ‘chanye’ caste has been included in the list of the other back ward castes in the state and the people belonging to the community were getting all facilities that are provided to other backward castes.
He said the ministry has not received any proposal regarding inclusion of the caste in the SC category and if a proposal is received that Ram Dayal Munda Tribal Institute would conduct a probe and then further action would be taken.
