Ranchi, Jan.21: Inaugurating Dattopant Thengdi Rojgar Mela at ITI Ground in Ranchi, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that people will be connected with self-employment and private sectors along with government to eliminate the problem of unemployment.

“Jharkhand needs to become skilled for a bright future of the nation. In the state level Dattopant Thengdi Rojgar Mela, more than 6000 candidates will be given employment by 70 companies. Jharkhand textile mills will be installed soon to sort out unemployment. The second job fair will be conducted in Santhal Pargana,” said the CM.

Addressing the youths, Das said that every work requires sincere efforts. He appealed to youths to work sincerely.

He said that the whole world needs skilled persons for industries and other work and Jharkhand will play an important role in it.

He hoped that in the next five years, the state will be made skilled and said that in the Global Investor Summit on 16-17 February, entrepreneurs from all over the world are coming to invest in Jharkhand.

The CM said that after simplifying local policy, he gave 30,000 jobs and by March 2017, the figure will rise to 45,000. He laid stress on educating girls and suggested to connect them with self-employment and appealed to them to get self employed which the government has made provisions in the budget which will help the youths stand on their own feet.

State Labour Minister Raj Paliwar said that this is a historic day and on the direction of the CM, the fair was organized at state level. He called on youths to follow the ideals of late Dattopant Thengdi, the founder of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh. He said that the department should make a database of the appointments on its level so that we come to know that our youths are not being cheated by the companies. He said that in the days to come, the department will organize Rojgar Mela on block level to employ the youths living far off.

CS Raj Bala Verma said that the 43 employment exchanges across the state need to be modernized. “The department is developing these employment exchanges as counseling centers where youths will be connected with libraries, counseled and given jobs in small and big companies. After the Global Investors Summit, Rs. 60,000 crore will be invested in the state and the human resource will be provided through career counseling. Jharkhand is the first state to have conducted this fair,” she said.

On the very first day of the job fair, 70 companies started recruitment process through written and interview. The CM himself gave appointment letters to appointed youths and wished them all the best.

Hatia MLA Naveen Jaiswal, Ranchi Mayor Asha Lakra, Departmental Secretary Amitabh Kaushal and Director Rakesh Kumar Singh were present on this occasion.
