Jamshedpur: The second story collection of noted city-based author Sudha Goel ‘Naveen’ titled ‘Churi Wale Haath’ was inaugurated by renowned Hindi litterateur Nirmala Thakur at Centre for Excellence on Saturday during a function organized under the aegis of multilingual literary organization ‘Sahyog’.
The special guest of the occasion was Sahitya Academy award winning author Kamaljeet. Both the chief guest, Nirmala Thakur, and Kamaljeet congratulated Sudha Goel for her second book and praised her writing style and zeal for literature.
In her address, Sudha Goel dedicated her second collection of stories to her ‘Babujee’ (father) and remembered him as a man who did not discriminate between his sons and daughters. She attributed her literary success to her father.
Among other dignitaries present on the occasion included Radheshyam Agrawal, Dr Bharat, Nakul Kamani, Smita Parekh, Komal Chopra, Aloka Bakshi, members of Rotary West Jamshedpur and other dignitaries.
Saraswati Vandana was sung on the occasion by Renuka Mishra. A welcome speech was given by Arun Sajjan. The function was conducted by Kalyani Kabir and presided over by the president of Sahyog, Juhi Samarpita. A vote of thanks was proposed by Vidya Tiwary.
