Jamshedpur : Two persons were seriously injured as they were hit by vehicles in separate places under Mango and Jugsalai police station area.
Those injured have been identified as Fagu Tiwary (40), a resident of Bagbera and Madan Singh (35), a resident of Dimna Bustee, Mango. Both the mishap victims were rushed to MGM Medical College and Hospital emergency, from where the Tiwary was referred to ESI Hospital in Adityapur. Tiwary, who is a contract worker, has sustained multiple injuries.
Tiwary had gone to meet his employer at Sakchi and was returning home by riding a cycle. Sources said at the sight of the mishap, some passers-by intercepted the city-bus and caught hold of the driver. The police rushed the victim to the medical college hospital for treatment.
Officer-in-charge of Jugsalai police station, Arun Kumar Mishra said that they have seized the bus and arrested the driver.
In another incident, a middle-aged man, Madan Singh, was seriously injured as a passenger van hit him near the vegetable market under Olidih police station area.
According to sources, the victim who is also an industrial worker has sustained grievous head injuries and struggling for his life at the medical college hospital.
Hospital sources said the condition of Madan Singh is very serious and his chances of survival is very low.
