Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha president Sibu Soren today said the state was lagging behind other states of the country due to poverty and illiteracy.
He said the adequacy of natural resources in the state had failed to do much good to the state since still many people were living below poverty line and were unable to give their cent per cent in utilizing the available resources.
He was speaking during a booth level conference of party activists held at Asanthar ground in Jama Assembly constituency of Dumka. He asked party activists to work hard for the Parliamentary election.
