Jamshedpur: Action is likely to be taken against the Public Relations Officer of the Human Resource Department, Primary Education Directorate, Ranchi, in a case related to the pension of one Raj Kishore Das, 87, a retired teacher.
Das is getting Rs 200 as pension despite being so old and having retired long back. The State Information Commission has sought an explanation from the PRO of the HRD which had reportedly given incomplete information regarding the reason for giving such a paltry sum to the old man as pension.
The PRO could not give a satisfactory reply under the Right to Information Act petition filed in this connection by Jharhand Human Rights Commission president Manoj Mishra. Now fine may be imposed on the guilty HRD officials.
