Jamshedpur: East Singhbhum district administration has published the final list of voters at the conclusion of the work of revision of the voters’ list.
As per the updated list, the total population of the district is 24.48 lakh with 12.56 lakh men and 11.91 lakh women.
According to the report, the total number of voters in the district is 15.51 lakh, out of which there are a total of 7,95,621 male voters while the number of female voters is 7,55,307. The voters account for 63.35 per cent of the total population.
As per the data available with the district administration, Baharagora has the least number of people and voters while Jamshedpur West Assembly constituency has the highest number of people and voters.
There are 3,18,739 people in Baharagora out of which there are 2,10,322 voters. In Jamshedpur West, the total population is 4,99,765 whereas the number of voters is 2,96,004.
Earlier the number of voters in the district was 14.01 lakh.
