Ranchi: Preparations for Chhath are in the last stages as the state administration has made plans to depute a large number of security personnel across the various districts during the two day festival. The first ardhya (obeisance to the Sun God) will be paid on 9th November.
The administration has tightened security arrangements at all places to make sure peace prevails during the festival. The district administration of Ranchi has divided the district into eight zones.
In each zone, one zonal magistrate and an inspector will be there to look after the security arrangements. Police officials will keep an eye on river ghats and other public venues.
Medical teams will also be pressed into service to keep peace during the festival.
