Jamshedpur: The deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum-cum-chairman of Red Cross, Dr Amitabh Kaushal, has ordered that Red Cross Building at Sakchi be turned into a centre for storing relief material for the victims of Cyclone Phailin.
He has asked everyone to help the victims of the cyclonic storm that hit several hundred villages in Dumaria, Baharagora, Ghatsila and Chakulia. The DC had recently convened a meeting at Red Cross and decided to collect rice, new dhoti, sari, utensils and blankets for the help of cyclone victims.
