Jamshedpur, Dec. 14: Plethora of events was lined up during day 2 of Inter KPS Youth Festival 2019 at the premises of Kerala Public School, Kadma on Saturday, December 14.

This year’s theme “Vasudeiva Kutumbakam,” a Sanskrit phrase found in Hindu texts such as The Maha Upanishad, signifies that the world is one family.

The students showcased their creativity in various events like Face Painting, Hair styling, Fashion Designing, Photography, Rangoli, Cartooning, Tableau, Ice Age & Thaw.

Competitions including – writing skills, Story writing, Essay writing, Lyrics writing, Column writing and Slogan writing were also conducted.

Inter KPS Youth Festival 2019 saw participation of KPS Gamharia, KPS Burmamines, NML KPS, KPS Mango, KPS Rairangpur, and KPS Kadma.

Around 1200 children participated in 54 different items for Senior and Junior.

Sharat Chandran, Director, Kerala Public Schools encouraged the participants and said that the fest symbolizes unity, team work and excellence. 

Two days event came to an end with the Prize Distribution Ceremony in the evening.

Kerala Public School, Gamharia put up an outstanding performance and were declared the Overall Champions of Inter KPS Youth Festival 2019.

Hosts Kerala Public School, Kadma contended excellently, however there was a heated competition and they missed out on a few points, hence becoming Runners up.

The event concluded with a word of thanks from the Principal Sharmila Mukherjee. She expressed her gratitude towards participants, the teaching fraternity and appreciated the teams for their effort.

The curtain was drawn with the homage to the motherland and the National Anthem was sung by all.
