Jamshedpur: Youth Congress members of Jamshedpur East Assembly Constituency Committee here on Thursday took out a candle march in the city in commemoration of the Amarnath pilgrims killed in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. The procession culminated into a condolence meeting at Shahid Chowk, Sakchi.
Addressing the gathering, Bijendra Sahu, Youth Congress president of the Jamshedpur East Assembly Constituency Committee, said the killing of seven Amarnath pilgrims was a cowardly act aimed at creating terror in the Kashmir valley. He said the youths of the country were ready to take on the cross-border forces trying to disrupt peace on the Indian soil. He said the people were proud of the Armed forces for fighting courageously in Jammu and Kashmir.
Among those present on the occasion included Rakesh Sahu, Pawan Tiwary, Rahul Goswami, Sushil Tiwary, Arun Barik, Dinesh Singh, Surendra Sharma, Nandlal Prasad, Mintu Hembram and Mukesh Yadav.
