Jamshedpur: A Self-Development Workshop was held at Centre for Excellence today. The session was organized by Society for Promotion of Professional Excellence (SPPE), in association with JUSCO and conducted by the British Council, Kolkata. The topic for the session was “Overcoming Negativity at Workplace”.
Tumpa Sarkar, facilitator from Kolkata conducted the workshop. Her 17 years of expertise in the fields of HR, counselling and coaching helped her develop and lead the workshop, highlighting key managerial and behavioral principles.
The participants were from SPPE’s Corporate and Institutional Members namely, JUSCO, Tata Steel Ltd., ISWP, Jamipol, Tata Pigments Ltd., ACMA, CII, ISTD & JMA.
The number of participants for the session was limited to 28 in order to give utmost attention and deliver a quality session for all. Sarkar emphasized on some key principles of identifying negativity first and then tackling it the right way. “Failure is not negativity”, said Tumpa Sarkar.
The session engaged all participants and ensured maximum output through group activities, role plays and scenario analysis. The bell curve theory of handling resistance was explained to all and essential skills were discussed at depth during the workshop. It was indeed a well-received session.
