Jamshedpur, Feb 10: BJP Jharkhand in-charge JB Tubid and his selected deputy Shyam Babu and district in-charge Chittaranjan Verma today attended a party meet comprising all Mandal, booth and other party executives and workers to do some soul searching after the Assembly poll debacle in the state. The meeting was chaired by BJP district president Dinesh Kumar and anchored by district general secretary Anil Modi.

It is expected that there would be restructuring of Mandal and booth-level committees.

The death anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Sharma will be observed at all Mandal level on Tuesday, February 11. Preparations are on to launch awareness drive at all levels in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act. Tubid gave details on points to be discussed at Mandal and booth level meetings whose conclusive dialogues will be reviewed to chart out fresh courses to emerge out of the shadow of the Assembly debacle.

The BJP Jharkhand in-charge JB Tubid stated, “The setback for the party during the last Assembly elections does feel bad but non-the-less we worked very hard as a team. We shall be able to find out our shortcomings and work to better our efforts. The constituency-wise meetings will help in identifying our mistakes and this will be done before February 26. After discussions with senior leaders in every Mandal, the organization election in-charges will put forth a panel of three names to the state committee. The state committee will discuss the proposed names and in consultation with higher leaders will appoint the fittest member as the Mandal president. All activities of booths will be reviewed and lists of active members have to be made out at Mandal levels by February 15.”

In his observations Assistant state in-charge Shyam Babu stated that till last year the party had served the state well but had respect for the people’s verdict against BJP. “We shall now work as a constructive opposition. Be alert to people’s issues, their problems. Take them up and adopt means to resolve them,” he urged members.

Among others present in the meeting were Khemlal Chowdhary, Chittaranjan Verma, Bhupendra Singh, Satyaprakash Singh, Bari Murmu, Sandip Mishra, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Rakesh Singh, Pushpa Tirkey, Sunil Bari, treasurer Vimal Jalan, Dipak Parikh, Ankit Anand, Paresh Mukhi, Vikram Chandrakar, Amarjit Singh Raja, Muchiram Bauri, Vimal Baitha, Kaju Shandalya and Gopal Jaiswal.
