Jamshedpur, Feb 17: The Marwari community has thrown in its entire support towards the eight-day Pran Prathishtha (life invoking rituals) Mahotsav commencing February 20 for the inauguration of the majestic new temple at Sakchi Thakurbari Road where the idols of Goddesses Mahalakshmi, Anjani and Rani Sati Dadiji will be installed as per Vedic rituals. The temple has been designed in traditional Rajasthani art format.
More than 75 women from of the Marwari community associated with various social and religious organizations held a meeting at the temple premises to discuss their role in the Mahotsav. They pledged to provide total support to ensure success of this eight-day religious festival between February 20 and 27. They discussed in detail their participation in the proceedings related to the Kalash Yatra and the Mangal Path of Rani Sati Dadiji. The ladies decided to decorate the water pots (Kalash) on the first floor of the temple from Tuesday, February 18.
Among those who participated in today’s meeting were Shakuntala Agrawal, Usha Chowdhary, Rekha Agrawal, Pushpa Sanghi, Sushila, Lalita, Kiran Debuka, Uma Chetani, Nisha, Sarita Sonthalia and other ladies from Shri Jeen Mata Pariwar and Shakambhari Mata Pariwar.
Mahabir Prasad Agrawal is the convener while Ashok Modi and Suresh Kauntia are deputy conveners of the Mahotsav. The Shri Thakurbari Temple Trust president is Kamal Agrawal and Pramod Agrawal is the secretary.
