Jamshedpur: Bharatiya Janata Party’s Parliamentary candidate from Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato launched his election campaign by marching from Sakchi roundabout to the Jamshedpur Mahanagar office of the party at Sakchi with a large number of his supporters and party activists.
Raising slogans in favour of BJP’s Prime-ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Vidyut Varan Mahato, the party activists appealed to voters to vote for BJP for a bright future of the country.
As a result of the procession, traffic flow was congested at several places from the roundabout till Sakchi Palang Market. Traffic police officials appeared to be mere party-poopers as they watched the procession pass by the streets.
Contacted, additional deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum (ADC), Ganesh Kumar, said the district administration was trying to get all the facts related to the procession to find out if it amounted to violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
“We have not registered any case of violation as such so far. If there was any violation on party of the candidate or party members, a case will be definitely lodged,” said the ADC.
