Vice President to arrive tomorrow, fool proof security in place
Jamshedpur, Feb 15: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will be arriving in Jamshedpur on 17th February. VP will release a commemorative stamp marking 100 years of Jamshedpur in a mega event scheduled on February 17 at Tata auditorium, XLRI. He will also release a coffee table on Jamshedpur. Governor Droupadi Murmu and TV Narendran, CEO & managing director, Tata Steel will be present on the occasion. The one hour long event will kick off at 10:30 am.
Strict security arrangements will be in place for VP’s visit on Monday. In view of his arrival, Jubilee Park would remain shut on 17th February.
Barricades will be in place and the road from Sonari Airport to XLRI will be one-way till Venkaiah Naidu’s stay in the city. A mock drill was conducted the district police from Sonari Airport to XLRI. The workers were seen making the final preparations at the auditorium on Saturday while Kolhan DIG Kuldeep Dwivedi convened a meeting where DC Ravi Shankar Shukla, City SP Subhash Chandra Jat along with senior officials of the district and Tata Steel Officials were present.
Minute by minute programme after VP arrives were discussed. DIG said, elaborate security arrangement would be in place for the Vice President. Security forces would be deployed at various strategic locations across the city. CCTV cameras would be installed at various places to keep an eye on security arrangements during VIP movement. The DC directed the district officials concerned to make necessary arrangements to ensure foolproof security during Naidu’s visit.
Fire fighters will be in place at Sonari airport, Centre for Excellence and XLRI. Senior officials of Tata Steel and district administration will welcome Vice President at the airport. M Venkaiah Naidu will first visit Tata Steel archives at Centre For Excellence (CFE) to get a glimpse of the heritage and the rich legacy of Tata Steel for more than 100 years.
He will also plant a sapling at Centre For Excellence. at around 11.40 Vice President is scheduled to visit Ram Mandir in Bistupur.
