Jamshedpur, August 18 : Two persons, including a 35-year-old transporter were injured as they were shot at by criminals at Jugsalai and Gamharia respectively.
Those sustained injuries were identified Prince Kunal, a resident of Baridih and Hyder Ali (19), a resident of Mahtopara Road in Jugsalai. Kunal has sustained gun-shot injury in his left leg, Hyder has sustained the bullet injury in his right arm.
Both the injured were rushed to the Tata Main Hospital where their condition is described as out of danger.
Kunal who works at a Gamharia-based company, Ram Krishna Forging and also runs his transport business was allegedly shot at by one of his former staff Rohit Lohra on Tata-Kandra Road.
OC, Gamharia police station, Krishna Murari said that Kunal had removed Rohit from his transport business after getting some complaint few days ago. He along with his brother Parikshit wanted to teach the victim a lesson.
When Kunal was returning home from the company on his bike, Rohit and his brother who are residents of Sonari and also on a bike stopped him near Gamharia thana and had an altercation. Following the altercation, Rohit had fired a shot at the victim’s leg causing him to sustain injury. Having fired at the transporter, the two had fled the spot.
In the case of other firing, the police are yet to identify the shooter as the victim Hyder has not given any statement to them regarding how had he been shot at and by whom.
