Jamshedpur, Feb 15: Two persons died while five got injured in separate road accidents in Ghatsila and Jadugora police station area on Friday. The injured were taken to different hospitals.
Sources said one of the incidents took place on the National Highway 33 near Amda village. Two trucks rammed into each other early in the morning. The collision was so powerful that both trucks were badly damaged. Both truck drivers died in the incident while the cleaners assisting them were seriously injured. The deceased persons could not be identified till late evening.
The other incident took place near Rakha Shiv temple of Jadugora when a speeding truck ran over a 52 year-old man, identified as Ramjanam Rai, and a 32 year-old man, identified as Krishna Gupta. Both were sent to Tata Main Hospital.
When a car carrying the relatives of the deceased persons was on its way to Tata Main Hospital, it was hit by a truck near Jadugora Chowk. The truck driver was roughed up by the mob. He was taken to UCIL Hospital in Jadugora where he was given first aid.
