Seraikela, July 14: Two persons from Adityapur have tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday, July 14, taking the Seraikela-Kharsawan tally to 107. Both the Adityapur patients have been admitted to Tata Main Hospital COVID-19 ward. Seraikela-Kharsawan DC A Dodde informed that two more patients from Adityapur have been found COVID-19 positive on Tuesday. Both the positives have travel history to Odisha and after their return from the Red Zone both were at quarantine centre in Jamshedpur. Their swab sample was sent to MGM Hospital and on Tuesday their report came as positive. DC informed that both the patients were immediately rushed to TMH COVID-19 ward. “Coronavirus patients are increasing at a rapid pace in the district and the positive figure stands at 107 while 55 patients have recovered and discharged from the hospital till Tuesday. 52 corona patients from Seraikela-Kharsawan are undergoing treatment at TMH, MGM, Sadar Hospital, Mangudih Primary health Centre and Kuchai Community Health Centre”, informed DC Dodde.
He appealed the residents to support the administration in this fight against coronavirus and to follow the social distancing norms and wear mask when going out which will help in keeping the families safe.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the state is 1579 and fatalities at 33 while 2351 people have recovered and discharged from the hospital. 2240 corona patients tested positive are migrant workers who returned to Jharkhand after May 1.
