Jamshedpur: Members of Tisco Nibandhit Shramik Sangh (TNSS) Monday demanded absorption by Tata Steel with a minimum monthly salary of Rs 20,000. They demanded that Tata Workers Union leaders should pass a proposal to this effect and take up the issue for discussion with the company management.
TNSS members passed a resolution to demand the said salary at a meeting held today near Tata Workers Union office. They said the registered dependents were on the verge of penury due to unemployment. Many of the dependents are now about to cross the age of employment in the company, they said.
TNSS leaders said they would be meeting TWU president R Ravi Prasad tomorrow with a petition of their demands.
Those present at today’s meeting included Arun Acharya, Sudip Choudhary, Jogendra Singh Rathore, Suresh Kumar Ravi, Charanjeet Singh, Manoj Mishra, sushma, Kanaklata, Sanjay Choudhary, Ashok Singh and Subodh Das.
