Jamshedpur, Feb 10: In separate road mishaps, three persons were killed under Jugsalai and Kadma police station areas in the city during the past 24 hours.
One mishap took place on the Adityapur toll-bridge at the Kadma end under Kadma police station area, two fatal mishaps took place on Jugsalai-Bistupur road under Jugsalai police station area in the afternoon and around midnight on Sunday.
Those killed in the three mishaps were identified as Mohammed Nizamuddin (40), a resident of Shastrinagar in Kadma, Mohammed Salim Ansari (26), resident of Bistupur and Satyendra Dubey (55), a resident of Road No 13 in Adityapur Colony.
OC, Jugsalai police station , Nitya Nand Mahto said that Satyendra was returning home in Adityapur from Tatanagar railway station with his brother-in-law, Amrendra Pandey (40) sitting pillion. As he was crossing the Jugsalai-Bistupur road, he deviated from course on the road and rammed into the divider.
“We rushed both the injured to Tata Main Hospital, where the doctors on emergency duty declared Satyendra as brought dead. Amrendra is undergoing treatment at the hospital,” said Mahto.
The Jugsalai OC, said earlier in the afternoon, Salim was also fatally injured after his bike hit the road-divider due to a car came from the opposite direction.
“We rushed Salim and his two friends who were also injured to Kantilal Gandhi Memorial Hospital, where the doctors declared as brought dead. The two other injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital,” said the Jugsalai OC.
Kadma thana OC, Vinay Kumar confirmed about an accidental death at the toll bridge late in the night.
