‘Wheels 2019’ finale begin today
Jamshedpur: The Graduate Engineer Trainee (G.E.T) Club is all set for ‘Wheels 2019’ finals to be held from 11th to 13th January, 2019.
The prelims of the fest were held from 20th to 22nd December, 2018 and the selected participants will compete for the prizes during the finals of the biggest techno-cultural fest. Altogether 6000 students displayed their talent during the three-day prelims.
The evenings of 11th and 12th will witness the performances of by eminent artists and bands. ‘Nalayak Band’ will perform during the opening day of ‘Wheels 2019’ finals on January 11 at Telco Club. Defined by its enchanting stage persona, NALAYAK – THE BAND is an emerging, first – of – its kind, independent rock band from Chandigarh. Applauded for the crazy acts and stupefying live performances, NALAYAK’S music gently teases the bizarrenes of the “Modern Society”. The show will kick-off after the inauguration by Tata Motors Manufacturing Head (CVBU), A B Lall, Tata Motors GM Manash Mishra and Sampath K Morri, Head, Jamshedpur Plant, Tata Motors.
Day 2 of Wheels finals will witness performance of Advaita, an Indian fusion band based in New Delhi. January 12 will also have classical dance performance by Nrityangan Institute of Performing Arts.
On 13th January Bollywood Mega-Nite will be held at Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium where ‘Tera Ghata’ singer Gajendra Verma along with singer Jonita Gandhi will perform.
Finals of all the events will also be held during the three-days. The prize distribution ceremony will take place on 13th of January 2019. First rolled out in 1987, this year the theme for 32nd edition of Wheels is “ANKURAN-Nurturing Innovations”.
