31 events lined up on theme “Anukaran-Nurturing Innovations”

Jamshedpur, Dec. 14: The biggest techno-cultural fest for the dynamic youth of Jamshedpur is back with its 32nd edition.
The Graduate Engineer Trainee (G.E.T) Club is all set for ‘Wheels 2019’ from 11th to 13th January, 2019.
The prelims of the fest will be held from 20th to 22nd December, 2018. First rolled out in 1987, this year the theme for 32nd edition of Wheels is “ANKURAN-Nurturing Innovations”. The theme calls for the enough exposure for the participants to propound their ideas and foster their imagination and individuality, that will not only let them enjoy, embark and explore the innocence of childhood but will also instill in them the qualities of a responsible citizen of the society.
The glory of the fest will be further enhanced by Marathon that will take place on 23rd of December 2018 with the underlying agenda of taking a pledge for sustainable use of ENVIRUNMENT-Let’s Paryavaran,” said Manas Mishra, general manager, Tata Motors.
Addressing a press conference at Telco Club on Friday, Mishra informed, ” Keeping the 31 years of its legacy alive, we are having a plethora of events to showcase the hidden talents with some new events included in the list .The mind boggling competitions like INNOVATORY TECHNOPHILIA , STEP UP , SCRAP UP, Quizzing events like XQUIZIT, Events for thriving cultural skills like ANTARAGANI-the war of bands to keep the crowd enthralled, SWARA- the solo singing competition, DANCEVERSE- a blend of dancing minds and souls, events demanding the humorous presentation like MAD-AD ,WIT and for the game freaks we have COUNTER STRIKE, NOVELTY SOCCER LEAGUE, FLASH which shows the sheer diversity in terms of 31 events for the participants covering an array of multitude of talents be it in cultural, fine arts, quizzing, photography ,technical ,fun sports and CSR activities”.
He further said that this time there’s something for everyone. At wheels 2019, we are providing a platform for students with special abilities to showcase their talent in an event specifically designed for them-EKLAVYA. To promote mental and physical well-being, we have also introduced a new event YOGATHON under the theme “HEALTH FOR ALL.” where the relevance of yoga as a holistic health option will be addressed.
Tata Motors GM went on to say that the finalists selected after the prelims will compete for the prizes during the finals of Wheels. The prize distribution ceremony will take place on 13th of January 2019. The evenings of 11th and 12th will witness the performances of by eminent artists and bands. In addition, 13th of January 2019 will be a Mega-Nite, adding another feather to the cap of all the previous events and the audience will get a chance to witness star performances never sought before, Mishra added.
Engineers working in Tata Motors, Tata Cummins, Tata Technologies and Tata Hitachi are leaving no stone unturned in making this event a successful platform for the young minds to explore, develop and grow.
