West Bokaro, July 10: Tata Steel West Bokaro Division dedicated a community centre to the people of Chainpur area.
The community centre at Barbanda, Chainpur under Mandu block of Ramgarh district was inaugurated on Wednesday by Praveen Kumar Sinha, Chief, Human Resources Management, Tata Steel (West Bokaro) in the presence of Mahesh Prasad, President, Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Sangh (RCMS), Rajesh Kumar, Head, Project Infrastructure, Tata Steel (West Bokaro), Col Bhawani Singh Nirwan, Head, Stakeholder Management, Tata Steel (West Bokaro), Naveen Kumar, Head, Outbound Logistics, Tata Steel (West Bokaro), and Keshav Kumar Ranjan, Unit Head, Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS).The project was implemented by TSRDS, the rural development wing of Tata Steel with an objective to provide better infrastructure facilities and ambience for the people of the region. The community centre constructed over 1517 sqft area includes a big hall of 664 sqft and two rooms of 101 sqft each apart from separate toilet facilities for ladies and gents. The community centre will cater to around 8500 people of four gram panchayats, namely, Sondiha, Sarubera, Bargaon and Nawadih. Sinha reaffirmed the commitment of Tata Steel for upliftment of not only the proximate community but also towards the national causes like Namami Gange. He reiterated that CSR is a deeply embedded prime value for Tata Steel and we have been passionately supporting the society much before it became mandatory under Companies Act.Among others present on the occasion were Ms Bhagwati Devi, Mukhiya, Nawadih, Mr Kanhaiya Ravidas, Mukhiya, Badgaon, Mr Radheshyam, Mukhiya, Sondiha, Mr Sundar Lal Bhuiya, Mukhiya, Sarubera, Mr Dushyant Kumar Patel, Member, Zilla Parishad, officials of Tata Steel, TSRDS, Union and members of the community.
