Jamshedpur: Tata Steel on Wednesday inaugurated a safety awareness drive- “PPE ON WHEELS” in association with M/S Karam Industries. This awareness drive will be through a mobile exhibition that will focus on the right selection, correct usage, upkeep, inspection and putting on/ taking off Protective gear.
The “PPE ON WHEELS” was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Padmapal, Chief of Blast Furnaces, Guest of Honour, Vijay Kumar Nirala, Chief Safety and Vineet Ranjan Tripathi, Chief I Blast Furnace, today at the Vendors Park of I Blast furnace at Tata Steel Works. Also present at the event were Sanjay Mishra, Head Workplace Safety and GSR Murthy, Head Operation –I Blast Furnace, besides TSL and Contractor employees. Representatives from M/S Karam Industries included Prasenjit Ghosh, Territory Manager, Rishi Suman Jha, and Sajal Mazumdar, Lead Demonstration Specialist.
The mobile exhibition will display varieties of PPE and various fall protection arrangements at different departments between October 16–November 15, 2019.
